Your Consultation

When you visit our salon, one of our staff members will greet you. She will ask if you would like to look around first at our vast array of wigs on display or prefer to be introduced to a wig professional. If you feel a bit nervous or self-conscious, we have private rooms available for any client wishing to use them.

Once you are seated with a stylist, the consultation process begins. She will ask you questions to find out what you feel you need, and if you have any ideas or requests. Some people come in to change themselves completely, while others want to look the same, only better. The stylist will show you the wig styles that you requested, as well as other styles that she thinks would best address your problem areas and enhance your facial structure and skin color.

All of your fears and misgivings about needing a wig will disappear, because the stylist will show you things that will look better on you than you ever expected. You will immediately relax and begin to feel confident that you will look great, even better than before.


Your New Wig

Once your new synthetic or human hair wig is chosen, we can cut, color and/or highlight it for you as you like. Because so many of our clients do not live locally, we keep thousands of wigs and hairpieces on hand, making most selections available to take with you the same day as your salon visit.

In addition, we carry a full line of European human hair, which allows us to design a piece from scratch to fit your needs, if necessary. We also have a full line of ponytails, updo’s, hair scrunchies, and back and top fillers for any area of your hair that you wish to enhance or change.

Think of all the money you will save! Wigs don’t grow, so you save on haircuts, and they don’t get gray, so you save lots of money on color! And the best part is that you look fabulous every day. No more “bad hair days”. Just put on your new wig or hairpiece and go!

Cleanse & Condition

• Before washing your wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles using a Paddle Brush or a Wide Tooth Comb.

• Wet hair completely using cool running water.

• Gently lather the hair with a small amount of Synthetic Shampoo, making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling.

• Rinse thoroughly under cool running water until water runs clear.

• Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry.

• Spray with Conditioning Spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece. Do not rinse out conditioner.

• Gently detangle hair using your Wide Tooth Comb.



Dry & Style

• Allow wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing on a plastic or wire wig stand. DO NOT blow dry.

• For mid-length to long length styles, apply HD Smooth Detangling Spray, (3-5 pumps) focusing on bottom half of wig or hairpiece. Gently comb through using your Wide Tooth Comb.

• We recommend using your fingertips or wig brush/comb for your desired style.

• To add texture and definition, use a small amount of Piece Out Contour Fiber Crème and apply using fingertips.

• Do NOT use heat to style synthetic fiber (curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers)



Tips

• Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) Excessive heat can damage the fiber.

• We recommend using HD Smooth Detangling Spray with a wide tooth comb to detangle your synthetic wig. This is especially important with a mid-length to long length wig or hairpiece.


Cleanse & Condition

• Before washing your human hair wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles using your Paddle Brush

• Gently lather the hair with a small amount of Argan Smooth Luxury Shampoo, while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling.

• Rinse thoroughly in cool running water until the water runs clear.

• Apply Argan Smooth Luxury Conditioner, avoiding the base of the wig or hairpiece (applying conditioner to the base/cap may weaken the knots).

• Using your fingers, work conditioner through mid-lengths and ends for 3-5 minutes.

• Rinse thoroughly in cool running water until the water runs clear.



Dry & Style

• Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat to remove excess water.

• Gently remove any tangles using your Paddle Brush.

• Allow cap to dry completely before applying to a canvas block head.

• Dampen hair again and apply a small amount of Blown Away Blow Dry Balm; distribute evenly throughout hair, keeping away from base.

• Starting at nape, work in 2″ sections using a Round Boar-Bristle brush and blow dry each section completely.

• Use medium-high heat on full power to blow dry hair. Use the “cool shot” button to lock in style.

• Human hair must be dried and styled after washing. Air-drying will leave the hair ‘un-polished’ and can trap water in the hair causing frizzing.



Tips

• Blown Away Blow Dry Balm is designed as a foundation product for all human hair blow outs. All other styling products can be layered over Blown Away.

• Boho Beach Mist can be used on dry hair to add texture and revitalize natural curls.

• Use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat. Use no higher than 350° F to help maintain the integrity of the hair.

• Use Versatile 3-Way Hair Spray to hold your finished style. Adjust nozzle to “L” for low, “M” for medium, or “H” for high hold, depending on your needs.
